Dear Parents, Thank you for your patience as we worked through our first day of summer school with both Ted Flores Elementary students and Pearsall Intermediate students at the same campus. In order to ensure the best safety for our students, we are asking that no students be dropped off before 7:30am. At 7:30am, students will be directed to the cafeteria for breakfast. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:30am - 8:00am. Teachers will pick up their students from the cafeteria and take them to their classrooms at 8:00am. Dismissal Procedures: In order to reduce the amount of traffic during dismissal, we will be putting the following procedures in place… Ted Flores Elementary students will be dismissed in the front of the building. Intermediate students will be dismissed in the back of the building where the bus loop is. Parents will be directed to the parking area to keep the bus loop open for the buses. Intermediate students who have siblings at TFE will be dismissed in the front of the building with their younger siblings. Thank you again for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing your students this summer. Pearsall Intermediate Administration

Dear Parents/Guardians: We have received your student’s Spring 2022 STAAR Results. “Approaches Grade Level” is defined as the minimum passing standard on STAAR/EOC. Based on the Spring test results, your student DID NOT meet the “Approaches Grade Level” for the state-mandated passing standard. Based on this rating, it is highly recommended your student attend summer school in order to address his/her academic needs. Please complete the summer school registration packet attached to this letter, and return it to the school before Friday, May 27. If you have already registered your student for summer school, no further action is required.

Each day, field events will begin at approximately 9am followed by the running events at approximately 10:15am. The final event will be Tug-Of-War which will be at approximately 12:00pm. We encourage family and friends to come out and support our students. During the field events, parents will be allowed on the track, but not on the turf. During the running events, parents will be in the stands. Only water is allowed on the track and turf. All other items must be kept in the stands. Please send your child with a water bottle, and wear comfortable running shoes. No crocs, boots, or sandals, please. Hats and sunscreen are also recommended. The concession stand will be available each day for anyone to purchase items. Students will be responsible for their own money if they choose to bring it. They will be allowed to purchase items from the concession stand after their running and field events. They may bring money for concession stand items each day as some teachers may choose to take their classes to watch the other grade levels at their track meets. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at the track meet.

Good evening parents, We are going to have a lot of events on campus this week and next. Please speak with your students about behavior expectations while on campus. While we are very excited to continue learning in the classroom during this very exciting time. It is critical that students remember to make good choices in regards to their behavior with peers and adults while on campus and participating in school wide events. We’re in final 8 days of the school year, and we all want to finish together successfully.
